Saved a little cat, and also helped the kind soul tormented by depression slowly recover.

Must read

Many people like cats. It’s not just because of their cute faces; what really makes cats popular is not their cute appearance but the healing power they can bring us. I believe every cat owner has experienced this: coming home exhausted after a day of work, filled with negative energy, and then opening the door to find a cute little cat running towards us, rubbing against our feet, bringing us that healing sensation.

Actually, having a pet is one of the best ways to fight depression because having a companion like a pet can boost our motivation, engage us in life, and help us enjoy it more. In the process of having a pet, we can communicate better with ourselves. This is exactly what happened to a cat owner who was previously tormented by depression, but while moving to a new place, ended up saving a little kitten, which in turn also saved him.

Os is a little kitten, abandoned by its owner when it was only about one or two months old. For a cat so young, surviving in the wild would have been extremely difficult. Fortunately, Os didn’t have to live a stray life because, as it passed by a kind person’s door, it was picked up by that kind soul. Os had been in contact with humans since birth, so it didn’t reject the kind person’s embrace.

Watching this so well-behaved little kitten in their arms, even the kind person felt a sense of wonder. Inexplicably, the kind person felt that this kitten belonged to them. So the kind person took the kitten home. Initially, the kind person intended to put the kitten on the sofa to rest, but soon the kitten climbed up the kind person’s leg and settled into their lap. Seeing this kitten relying on them, the kind person felt warmth; it was the kitten that made them understand what it felt like to be depended upon.

So the kind person bought a cat bed for the kitten, took it to the vet for deworming and a check-up. Luckily, the kitten was in good health, with no illnesses. On the first night of meeting the kind person, the kitten fully trusted them and refused to go back to its small nest, choosing to sleep slowly on the kind person’s legs instead. Seeing this peaceful kitten sleeping on their lap, the kind person also felt a sense of wonder.

Who would have thought that their first cat would be the result of such a wonderful encounter, with no barriers between the kitten and the human, just a mutual trust. Now, under the care of the kind person, the kitten is growing up healthier. It’s because of the warmth of the kitten that the kind person’s depression is gradually lifting, allowing the kind person to feel the warmth of the world more. The kind person says it’s not that they saved the kitten, but rather the arrival of the kitten that saved them. Sometimes, the pure emotions of animals can bring us a special healing power, and it is with the company of animals that our lives become better and better.
