Depression diagnosis and treatment have a new direction! Professor Xie Peng’s team discovered the potential mechanism of chronic stress-induced depression involving microglia.

Professor Xie Peng’s team at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University discovered that microglial cells are involved in the potential mechanism underlying the development of depression induced by chronic stress, providing a new direction for the diagnosis and treatment of depression. The research findings were recently published in the international authoritative academic journal “Journal of Advanced Research” (IF=11.4, 1st quartile of Chinese Academy of Sciences/JCR).
