Cancer treatment Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment for cancer is most important when it is “comfortable”

Must read

Many people are busy with work all day, neglecting health check-ups, and even unaware when cancer quietly strikes. Facing cancer, there are various treatment methods, but the key lies in maintaining a positive attitude and ensuring good diet and sleep. Traditional Chinese medicine plays an important role in cancer treatment, focusing not only on the condition but also on the patient’s psychological state and overall well-being.

Malignant tumors are considered one of the global medical challenges. Current surgeries, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy have some effectiveness but still have limitations. Multidisciplinary, standardized comprehensive treatment has become the industry consensus. Traditional Chinese medicine is usually involved as an adjunctive method, but in specific cases, it can also play a leading role. The value of treatment is reflected in the improvement of patients’ quality of life—normal diet, sleep, and positive emotions.

For cancer patients, giving up hope and a passive attitude are the least desirable. With rapid developments in modern medicine, an optimistic attitude should be embraced. When treating cancer with traditional Chinese medicine, two extreme cognitive approaches are often encountered: complete reliance or complete denial. The correct approach is to seek professional guidance, combine Chinese and Western medical treatments rationally, avoid false beliefs in misleading advertisements, and pay attention to lifestyle adjustments such as diet and exercise to nourish the “zheng qi” and “jing qi shen.”

The best intervention periods for traditional Chinese medicine in cancer treatment include: synchronous treatment with Western medicine to relieve side effects; after standardized Western medical treatment, consolidate the efficacy and prevent recurrence and metastasis; and in late stages, aiming to improve the quality of life and extend survival. Through personalized syndrome differentiation and treatment, traditional Chinese medicine can effectively alleviate patients’ suffering, such as using Chinese herbal medicine externally to reduce radiotherapy skin damage, or using acupuncture and Chinese patent medicine to improve emotional and physical states.

Diet is equally important for cancer patients. Foods rich in vitamin A such as carrots, as well as soybeans, garlic, mushrooms, berries, whole grains, and tomatoes, have been shown to have certain anti-cancer effects and should be included in the daily diet appropriately.

In conclusion, cancer treatment requires scientific rationality, the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, personalized treatment plans, along with positive lifestyle adjustments, to pave the way for patients’ recovery. Appropriate dietary choices are also an indispensable aspect, helping to strengthen the body and increase cancer resistance.
