Kidney deficiency or kidney problems are extremely detrimental to health, so nourishing the kidneys is particularly important. Our life activities follow the natural laws of growth and storage, corresponding to the four seasons: the liver governs birth, the heart governs growth, the lungs govern collection, and the kidneys govern storage. Here are several methods to nourish the kidneys:
1. Self-massage of the lower back: Rub both hands together to warm them, then place them on the lower back and massage up and down until warm; do this about 200 times in the morning and evening. This helps to warm and nourish the Mingmen point and strengthen kidney qi.
2. Stimulate the soles of the feet: The Yongquan acupoint is located on the soles of the feet and is an important point on the kidney meridian. Rub the soles of the feet of the other foot alternately with the left and right hands about 300 times in the morning and evening, which can benefit the essence, nourish the kidneys, improve sleep, and enhance physical fitness.
3. Kidney-strengthening exercises: Include a series of standing movements, such as standing with feet parallel, lifting the heels to breathe, squatting, and finger grasping, do multiple sets continuously, which is beneficial for nourishing the kidneys.
4. Heel walking: When walking, land on the heels first, which can stimulate the acupoints of the kidney meridian and prevent osteoporosis.
5. Foot soaking in hot water: Soak your feet in warm water for 15 to 30 minutes every night from 7 to 9 o’clock to promote blood circulation and nourish the kidneys and liver.
6. Dietary therapy to nourish the kidneys: Foods such as scallops, chestnuts, walnuts, sea cucumbers, and dried longan have a nourishing effect on the kidneys and can be consumed in moderation.
7. Back knocking: Relax your body facing south, lightly knock the back against the wall about 30 times each time, several times a day, which can strengthen the lumbar kidneys.
8. Regular exercise: Increase physical activity, especially waist exercises, such as certain postures in yoga, can promote the circulation of qi and blood in the waist and relieve kidney deficiency.
These methods are simple and easy to practice in daily life, but the key is to persevere. Through these natural methods, kidney health can be effectively enhanced, promoting overall well-being.
