At the age of 45, a man was diagnosed with diabetes. A year later, his condition improved after reassessment, thanks to daily consumption of it.

Jianbin, now 45, can be considered a middle-aged man with many years of diabetes. When he was diagnosed with diabetes years ago, he didn’t take it seriously because he believed that diabetes is a chronic disease that didn’t pose a significant threat to him. Jianbin continued his usual diet without restrictions, neglecting his condition. However, during his second visit to the hospital, the doctor regretfully informed Jianbin that he had developed diabetes! These words instantly awakened Jianbin, who regretted not following the doctor’s advice earlier and forming better lifestyle habits. He repented and decided to take good care of his health. From that day on, he maintained his regimen for about a year and surprisingly witnessed an improvement in his diabetes.

1. Vegetarian diet

For dinner, Jianbin usually chooses at least two fiber-rich vegetables, sometimes pairing greens with radishes or other alkaline foods. Jianbin mentioned that these vegetables not only provide the necessary sanitation for the body but also help neutralize the acidity from meat and other acidic foods consumed, significantly aiding in the recovery from diabetes.

2. Pumpkin seeds

Jianbin highlighted that pumpkin seeds are rich in magnesium, which accelerates the body’s metabolism. Consistently consuming a few spoonfuls of pumpkin seeds daily has greatly benefited his condition. Doctors have also indicated that previous studies showed a 15% lower likelihood of developing diabetes among individuals who regularly consumed pumpkin seeds compared to those who didn’t!

3. Consistent consumption of lychee

We all know that lychees, when consumed regularly, contain significant fructose content! However, fructose can only be beneficial to the body after it is converted into glucose by the liver’s enzyme. Thus, consuming lychees can inhibit blood sugar spikes. Jianbin mentioned that he always limits his lychee intake and doesn’t overindulge!

4. Minimal alcohol consumption

Jianbin used to have a habit of alcohol consumption, but since being diagnosed with diabetes, he has completely abstained from alcohol. While many individuals have varying alcohol consumption habits, it is critical for diabetes patients to avoid alcohol consumption. To effectively control blood pressure and lipid levels, alcohol must be eliminated because it can lead to increased blood sugar and blood pressure.
