To enhance the caregiving abilities of families with patients suffering from mental disorders and to promote better recovery and social integration for the patients, on August 2nd, the Huai Bin Street Mental Disorder Rehabilitation Center successfully held a unique family caregiving skills training event.
This training event attracted active participation from many family members of the patients. At the beginning of the training, experts from the rehabilitation center provided detailed introductions to common types of mental disorders, their symptoms, and underlying mechanisms, giving family members a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of mental disorders.
During the training process, experts taught family members practical caregiving skills through vivid case studies and on-site demonstrations. This included how to effectively communicate with patients, how to observe changes in patients’ emotions and fluctuations in their conditions, and how to respond in emergency situations. Additionally, the importance of the home environment for the patients’ recovery was emphasized, encouraging family members to create a warm, harmonious, and inclusive family atmosphere for the patients.
Through this training, it is hoped that the caregiving skills of the family members can be improved, enhancing their confidence and abilities, and contributing together to the patients’ recovery and the harmonious stability of society.
