The types of emotions mainly include joy, anger, worry, thought, sorrow, fear, and surprise. These emotions not only bring about psychological changes but also directly affect physiological changes in the body.
According to the Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon: “Excessive joy harms the yang, excessive anger harms the yin.” Whether it’s positive or negative emotions, being stuck in a certain emotion for a long time can have adverse effects on health. Research has indicated that more than 70% of people will suffer from the “attack” of emotions on body organs.
