Pretend you are doing well, and you will become better

Yafang Consultation: Pretend to be good first, and you will become better.

In fact, many things in the world are very subjective.

The so-called “good” and “bad” have no objective standards or fixed templates at all, and many times, whether something is “good” or “bad” depends on the state we present.

So, sometimes pretending to be good will make you actually become good.

There is an important concept in psychology called “self-fulfilling prophecy,” which means that people will act according to their expectations, eventually making the prophecy come true.

When we choose to “pretend to be good”, we are actually planting a positive seed deep in our hearts. This seed will continuously absorb nutrients from our beliefs, gradually take root, sprout, and ultimately influence our behavioral patterns, emotional states, and even our entire life trajectory.

Pretending to be good is not deceiving oneself, but rather a positive mental adjustment.

It prompts us to face every challenge in life with a more confident and optimistic attitude. We start to notice and amplify our strengths, while ignoring or downplaying temporary shortcomings and difficulties.

This shift in mentality will make us more decisive in our actions and more willing to try new things, thereby truly achieving self-improvement and growth through continuous attempts and efforts.

“Pretending to be good” is not just a psychological suggestion; it is also a catalyst for action.

When we present ourselves with this attitude, we often receive more positive feedback and support from those around us.

These positive interactions further enhance our confidence, creating a virtuous cycle. At the same time, in order to maintain this “good” image, we unconsciously set higher demands on ourselves, work harder in learning, working, and living, aiming for internal and external consistency, truly achieving the transformation from pretense to reality.

In this process, we may face setbacks and feel exhausted, but it is these experiences that teach us persistence and resilience. With time passing by, those seemingly insignificant efforts will converge like tiny streams into rivers and seas, propelling us towards higher goals.

Ultimately, we will find that what once needed pretending to display as “good” has quietly become our true self. We no longer need to deliberately disguise ourselves because that confidence and composure are deeply rooted in our hearts, becoming an inseparable part of us.
