Recently, a 16-year-old top student quietly ran away from home at night and unfortunately lost her life. This tragedy not only evokes deep sorrow, but also prompts a profound reflection on youth mental health across society. What kind of pressure and loneliness did she endure beneath her glamorous exterior? Issues like campus bullying, academic pressure, strained interpersonal relationships… these seemingly distant problems are, in fact, right beside us, silently impacting the mental health of teenagers. Fortunately, some are taking action. The police from the East Lake District Branch of Wuhan Public Security Bureau are using innovative methods such as psychological drama to engage with children in summer care classes, building a defense against campus bullying. Their efforts show us that safeguarding the mental health of young people requires a collective effort from society. Schools should strengthen mental health education, families should provide more care and understanding, and each of us should contribute to the healthy growth of teenagers.
Protecting youth mental health starts with me and starts now. Let us work together to create a clear sky for the children!
