Two signs of depression relapse; if you don’t have them, it means recovery is not far away!

Must read

Only those who have experienced depression know what it’s like to lock oneself in a cage, unable to get out, and others cannot enter; after experiencing it once, they do not want to go through it a second time.

Depression can easily relapse, and when it does, it is much harder to treat than before!

So here are two symptoms of depressive episodes for everyone to take note of; if you recognize any of them, you need to be cautious; if not, just keep going, recovery is not far away!

1. Inability to control negative emotions

If you encounter negative emotions in life and feel deeply trapped in a quagmire, it may be a sign of a relapse of depression.

1. Low mood: Frequently feeling lost and hopeless for no reason, losing interest in life gradually.

2. Self-doubt: Doubting and denying your abilities and worth, thinking you are meaningless and unworthy of love and attention.

2. Physical symptoms affecting daily life

If you feel pressure and fear when you think about doing something in your daily life, to the point of wanting to escape unconsciously, thus affecting your normal life, this may be a sign of a relapse of depression.

1. Insomnia issues: Despite feeling physically exhausted, the mind is unusually alert, making it difficult to fall asleep, to wake up early, or to frequently wake during the night, leading to fatigue during the day.

2. Decreased attention: In daily activities, study, or work, you may find your efficiency significantly reduced, finding it hard to concentrate, and even when you try to force yourself, you can’t maintain focus for long.

3. Social avoidance: You may start to fear social situations, trying to avoid interacting with others or making eye contact, feeling anxious and uneasy about your social skills and relationships.

4. Unexplained physical discomfort: Such as headaches, stomachaches, muscle pain, or chest tightness, but medical examinations show no organic disease.

Finally, a word for those with depression: A relapse of depression tells you: you need to start learning to take care of “yourself”; if any of the above two symptoms appear and last too long, you must be vigilant, start living seriously, and love yourself well.
