A 48-year-old middle-aged woman, 8 changes to lose weight and look younger!

Sanmao said: “The beauty of time lies in its inevitable passing, spring flowers, autumn moons, summer days, and winter snow.” There is no medicine to maintain eternal youth, and we can never return to our twenties.

However, we can make ourselves age a little slower by sticking to these small habits, and you will enjoy that beauty through the long years, aging slowly and improving gradually.

1. Eat less

Low oil and low salt, light diet, eat fewer strong-flavored foods, eat until 70% full, chew slowly, consume healthy and high-quality food, preserve the taste of the ingredients, have dinner earlier, and do not eat within three hours before sleeping.

2. Sleep more, sleep well, sleep enough

Realize the importance of sleep; sleep is the foundation of the body. If you sleep enough, you will feel energetic when you wake up in the morning. If you don’t sleep enough, you will age quickly, have poor complexion, gain weight, experience memory decline, hair loss, etc. You should sleep before 11 PM, and you can take a 30-minute nap between 11 AM and 1 PM to recharge your energy.

3. Exercise three days a week

“A good figure is your best outfit.” Exercise 2-4 times a week, for 30 minutes to 1 hour each time. Strength training, aerobic exercise, and Pilates are recommended. Women over 40 should focus more on muscle training as having muscles helps you age more slowly. Train your back more; losing an inch of back fat makes you look 10 years younger.

4. Take care of your skin

“The less you use, the better your skin will be.” Most skin issues are actually caused by over-maintaining. Gentle cleansing and refreshing moisturizing are sufficient. Reduce sugar, oil, and salt intake, drink plenty of water, sleep well, and remember that the less you use, the better your skin will be. Make sure to protect your skin from the sun; sunscreen must be applied before going out.

5. Drink more water

Water nourishes the kidneys: the ancients said, “Running water does not rot; no water, no nutrients.” Drink a cup of warm water on an empty stomach every morning. This habit has been kept for 20 years. It can replenish the moisture lost during sleep, reduce blood viscosity, clear the stomach, and enhance beauty.

6. Learn to soak your feet

“Cold starts from the feet; sickness enters through the mouth.” Insist on soaking your feet in hot water every day, which promotes blood circulation and boosts metabolism, ultimately improving sleep quality.

7. Cultivate a peaceful mind

“Nothing can resist time except your heart.” If you can’t accept things, everything is an issue. Once you can let go, it’s just that. Spend time reading, relax your mind, or cultivate one or two hobbies; half of life’s problems stem from our own inner dramas.

8. An optimistic mindset

Not everything can go as you wish; you can only face it with optimism. When things come, accept them. Put yourself first, love yourself and life genuinely, and you will live younger and younger.
