Must read

Summer is a good time for people to lose weight, and many obese individuals choose to lose weight in the summer, which can be said to be the best time for weight loss. When summer comes, many people will spontaneously join the weight-loss team. In our daily lives, running for weight loss is very common. There are many ways to lose weight, but compared to other methods, running for weight loss not only reduces the cost of weight loss but also helps people develop their perseverance. Moreover, regular running is very beneficial for one’s health, as it can help improve cardiovascular function and metabolism, thus assisting in slowing down the aging process.

Around us, there are many people who have the habit of running, and at the same time, we can easily notice that many people choose to run in the morning rather than in the evening. Many people wonder why some choose to run at different times. So, in our lives, is the effect of morning running for weight loss better, or is the effect of evening running better? Today, let’s understand this together.

First, let’s understand the pros and cons of morning running for our health:

Compared to evening runs, morning running actually has better weight-loss effects because after a night’s rest, the body’s nutrients are mostly consumed, and the morning run is more conducive to burning fat content in the body. During running, the body’s fat is automatically converted into energy needed for running and is consumed.

However, although morning running is more beneficial for burning body fat, it also has certain drawbacks. If a person runs in the morning for a long time, it can lead to hypoglycemia because morning running is usually done on an empty stomach. After waking up in the morning, the stomach is mostly empty, and with running, the body’s energy needs are not fully met, which can lead to hypoglycemia over time. Moreover, if the exercise is intense, it can cause fainting, a situation that is more prevalent among children in primary and secondary schools. Therefore, although morning running is effective for weight loss, if one is to run in the morning, it would be advisable to bring some sugar to supplement the body’s energy needs.

So, what are the pros and cons of evening running?

Compared to morning runs, the weight-loss effects of evening running are not as good because the fat-burning rate during night runs is far less than that during morning runs. This is mainly because at night, there is more oxygen available, which is more beneficial for one’s health. However, there are fewer people running in the evening than in the morning, and many people find it difficult to find time to run due to work commitments. Those who enjoy running in the evening can benefit from a shower after the run, which can help improve the quality of sleep at night.

What kind of running method can be more effective for weight loss?

By comparison, we all know that morning running is more effective for weight loss than evening running. Although morning running has a significant impact on burning body fat, it is important to pay attention to one’s running speed during the process and adjust the speed accordingly. After running, it is advisable not to eat immediately but to rest for a while before having a meal, as this aids in better digestion.

Regarding evening running, many people do not have time in the morning and therefore choose to run at night. It is important to note that evening runs should preferably be done at least an hour after dinner and should not be too intense. Try to return home within an hour before bedtime, as running too close to bedtime can affect sleep quality.
