This is mainly because the liver is responsible for metabolizing the fats and proteins from food. If there is an issue with the liver, foods high in fat will not be metabolized, resulting in a lack of energy for the body, hence the lack of appetite and the constant feeling of fatigue.

Secondly, when the liver is not healthy, there may be a phenomenon of darkening of the face, which should raise concerns about potential liver damage. The main reason is that the liver plays an important role in the metabolism of iron; under normal circumstances, the liver stores iron. If liver cells are damaged, the amount of iron in the blood increases, causing the face to darken.

Finally, unexplained abdominal pain is also a symptom of liver injury that should be taken seriously. The primary reason is that after liver damage, liver cells can become pathological, gradually breaking through the liver’s mucous membranes and causing pain, necessitating a timely hospital check-up.

What foods are very helpful for liver health?

People often say “green enters the liver,” meaning that consuming more green vegetables is very beneficial for liver health. Therefore, those with liver issues should eat plenty of leafy green vegetables daily, ensuring at least around a pound.

Spinach is an excellent vegetable that contains various vitamins, carotenoids, fiber, and minerals. Among these, vitamin A is very helpful for liver repair and is an important component of the liver. Fiber also aids in liver repair by regulating blood sugar levels and maintaining healthy levels without putting any burden on the liver.
