To guide young people towards a scientific and healthy lifestyle and support overweight and obese children and adolescents in scientific weight loss training, the Children’s Hypoxic Weight Loss Public Summer Camp officially launched in Beijing’s Xiaotangshan Hospital in 2023. On July 8, the 2024 Children’s Hypoxic Weight Loss Public Summer Camp began again and successfully concluded on September 1. This summer camp is organized by Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital in collaboration with the Chinese Student Nutrition and Health Promotion Association and the Tian Tian Enjoying Slim Organization. At the start of the camp, children stepped into the campsite filled with hopes of self-improvement, under the watchful eyes of their parents. Their enthusiastic homeroom teachers welcomed them to the well-decorated dormitories, starting a hopeful weight loss journey for the children.

SUMMER CAMP

This summer camp takes an innovative approach, centering on a scientifically moderate hypoxic training weight loss program, complemented by a variety of特色课程. This innovative model aims to effectively improve children’s metabolic function and promote fat burning. At the same time, a professional coaching team tailored personalized training plans for each child, covering diverse physical activities, balanced nutritional meal plans, and meticulous mental health care.

Children participating in the summer camp averaged a weight loss of 12.6 pounds over 28 days, with significant improvements in their physical fitness.

Weight loss champion Xiaolin started the camp weighing 286 pounds. After two months of scientific training and a reasonable diet, he lost 58 pounds by the end of the camp, and his body fat percentage also decreased by 7%.

Student Gao lost 24.4 pounds during the 40-day training and developed a good habit of exercising early every day.

Student Jia Jia, who was always picky about food before joining the camp, learned about balanced eating during the summer camp, and her physical fitness significantly improved.

Little Dong from Fujian entered the camp severely overweight, slow in movement, and lacking confidence. During the summer camp, professional coaches created a tailored exercise and diet plan for him. Every morning, Little Dong would participate in morning runs under the guidance of his coach, gradually enhancing his physical fitness. In terms of diet, there was strict control over high-calorie food intake and an increase in the proportion of vegetables and fruits. After a month of persistent effort, Little Dong successfully lost 16.2 pounds, becoming lighter and more agile, with significantly improved athletic ability. Now, he not only loves sports but also often takes the initiative to lead his peers in exercise, becoming a small role model in everyone’s eyes.
