Must read

The weather has been changing a lot these days, with sudden cold and hot spells, and if the body’s resistance is slightly weak, it is easier to be affected and get sick if not careful. When the resistance is weak, we need to pay attention to supplementing nutrition in our daily lives, especially as we get older, our bodies need more energy replenishment. Lately, my husband has been busier at work. He works until late at night every day, then has to get up early the next morning to rush to work. He is often tired, and recently, he has been saying that the weather changes a lot, so he has been experiencing frequent lower back pain.

Men generally play a crucial role as the primary breadwinners in families, but men tend to be a bit rough in their ways. They work hard outside, often neglecting their own health issues. If minor issues are not addressed promptly, they can turn into major problems.

Many people experience lower back pain, especially as they get older, the situation becomes more severe. For lower back pain, eating some pig kidneys appropriately can help nourish the kidneys and boost immunity.

Pig kidneys are rich in nutrients and have abundant trace elements. As the saying goes, “treating similarly with similarities,” eating pig kidneys appropriately can be beneficial. There are many ways to prepare pig kidneys, and today we are sharing two recipes for pig kidneys. Don’t miss out if you are interested; they are simple, delicious, nutritious, and not at all fishy, exceptionally delicious. Let’s take a look together.

Recipe 1: Pig Kidney Soup

Ingredients:

Pig kidneys, ginger, red dates, goji berries, Codonopsis pilosula, Astragalus membranaceus, sesame oil

Method:

1. Place the pig kidneys on a cutting board, cut them in half with a knife, clean the glands in the kidneys, wash and cut them into small pieces, and set aside in a bowl.

2. Wash the pig kidneys with some salt, flour, and water, then place them in a bowl. Wash Codonopsis pilosula, Astragalus membranaceus, and goji berries with clean water, chop them on a cutting board, and cut Codonopsis pilosula into small pieces for later use.

3. Wash the red dates and ginger, chop them into small pieces and set aside. Pour sesame oil into a pot, add the ginger slices, stir-fry over low heat until fragrant.

4. After stir-frying, add the prepared pig kidneys, stir-fry over high heat, and stir frequently to cook the kidneys until they turn white, which is the optimal state.

5. Then pour in water, bring the water in the pot to a boil. After the water boils, cover with a lid and simmer for about 20 minutes, or pour directly into a casserole. Once the water in the pot boils, add Codonopsis pilosula, goji berries, and Astragalus membranaceus to stew.

6. Stew for about 30 minutes, then add some salt and red dates, cover the pot and cook for another 5 minutes. Taste the soup, and if it’s good, remove from heat.

Recipe 2: Stir-Fried Pig Kidneys

Ingredients:

Pig kidneys, onions, ginger, salt, pepper, soy sauce, cooking oil, sesame oil, scallion

Method:

1. Rinse the purchased pig kidneys in clean water, then place them on a cutting board and cut them into a grid pattern with a knife. Place the cut kidneys aside. Wash the onions and ginger, then chop them and place them in a bowl.

2. Heat the oil in a pan until hot, then add the prepared pig kidneys to the pan. Stir-fry over high heat, ensuring the kidneys are cooked well and any released liquids are drained.

3. When the pig kidneys are about 80% cooked, add salt, soy sauce, and pepper, stir-fry until fragrant, then turn off the heat.
