According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, body dampness is divided into two types: “cold dampness” and “damp heat”, requiring different methods for dampness dispelling. Internal dampness is often caused by habits like consuming cold drinks, excessive consumption of raw and cold fruits, leading to spleen yang deficiency, water stagnation in the body. External dampness is caused by damp pathogens, often due to persistent rainy weather, humid climate, living in damp areas, going to bed with wet hair after bathing, etc.
