It is often mentioned in life that some people say, after the age of 40, men face a hurdle, which is also a watershed for health. Around the age of 40, men face a doubled pressure due to the need to support parents above and care for children below, along with significant work stress. As the body ages, organs gradually deteriorate. Therefore, the age of 40 for men is a “life hurdle,” and in order to smoothly cross it, you need to change these 3 habits!
At 40, it’s a “life hurdle” for men, change even one of these 3 “habits”!
Habit one: Sitting for prolonged periods
Research shows that people who sit for less than 4 hours a day have a risk of death or illness in the next three years that is around 40% lower than those who sit for more than 11 hours a day.
Furthermore, a study in the UK indicates that prolonged sitting, even with daily exercise, cannot compensate for the harm that prolonged sitting brings to the body. Particularly for men, after the age of 40, if you do not exercise regularly and sit for extended periods, it will shorten your life.
Habit two: Long-term single status
Research data suggests that men who are single for a long time have a shorter lifespan compared to married men with sexual activity. The reason why long-term singles may have a reduced lifespan is not only related to the lack of sexual activity but also to mental health.
Because proper sexual activity is beneficial for physical health and can effectively prevent men from developing certain health issues, leading to longevity. Long-term single men, without someone to confide in, may suffer from depression, which in turn affects their physical health.
Habit three: Smoking after meals
Smoking is harmful to health, as everyone knows, but knowing is not enough, so I won’t advise everyone to quit smoking here. However, you should be aware that if you smoke after meals, the harm of one cigarette is equivalent to smoking 10 cigarettes normally. After eating, our gastrointestinal system accelerates digestion, and blood circulation speeds up. If you smoke directly after a meal, harmful substances from cigarettes will enter the bloodstream and exacerbate the damage to the body.
Out of these 3 habits that shorten lifespan, how many are you guilty of? If you want to live longer, it’s best to change them immediately. Do you have anything else to add to this issue? Feel free to leave your comments below.
