What are these three activities that can easily lead to uremia?

The kidneys also dislike high-protein foods because for proteins to be metabolized in the body, they must go through the kidneys, generating a series of waste products. If one consumes excess protein, waste accumulation in the kidney region can easily damage kidney health, thereby increasing the risk of uremia over time. To avoid uremia or other kidney diseases, it is best to control one’s diet, reduce the intensity of flavors, and pay attention to low sugar, salt, and low-fat intake.

The second activity is delaying treatment for illnesses. Many men are reluctant to visit hospitals as if doing so would imply their bodies are incapable. Therefore, when faced with minor health issues like headaches or fever, they tough it out. If it becomes unbearable, they might self-medicate by purchasing over-the-counter drugs.

This negligence can lead to ignoring chronic illnesses, which over time can transform into dreadful uremia. Many uremia patients initially only had conditions like hypertension or diabetes. But as the kidneys are gradually damaged by these diseases, uremia emerges.

For instance, in diabetes patients, as blood sugar rises, the stability of the kidney filtration system is slowly eroded, increasing the burden on the kidneys and allowing some waste impurities to accumulate without being cleared out, while beneficial substances are filtered into urine. Over time, uremia can manifest.

The third activity is holding urine. Due to various reasons, many men have the habit of holding urine. While doing so once or twice might not have serious consequences, subjecting the bladder and kidneys to high pressure for prolonged durations can lead to water retention in the renal pelvis. Without prompt treatment, further kidney damage can bring uremia closer. Moreover, even if it doesn’t lead to uremia, prolonged urine retention can cause a series of urinary system diseases. It is advisable for male friends to actively avoid holding urine.

In conclusion, the severity of uremia is evident to everyone, and in recent years, more and more male friends are suffering from this disease. This is closely related to the three common activities mentioned above. If you frequently engage in these activities, it’s best to quit early and give your kidneys a chance to be healthy.
