With the progress of society, the average life expectancy of modern people is getting longer and longer. According to data, the current average life expectancy for women has reached 77.4 years, while for men, it is 72.4 years. From the data, it can be seen that the average life expectancy for women is 5.2 years higher than that of men. Faced with this data, many men begin to say that the pressure society puts on men is too great – they need to earn money, buy houses, build careers, take care of their wives and children, and deal with many social activities, among other things. Men say that women’s pressure is not as big as men’s, naturally leading to higher life expectancy for women.
Actually, in modern urban areas, women’s pressure is not any less than that of men, and the reason why men’s average life expectancy is lower than that of women, I think we can find reasons from their respective lifestyle habits. In fact, the lifestyle habits of most women are much better than those of men. Men often indulge in eating and drinking without paying attention to nutrition balance or the removal of toxins from the body, solely seeking immediate happiness without considering the consequences. It is evident that men indeed do not pay as much attention to protecting their bodies as women do.
Take, for example, their lack of attention to shaving. They do not pay much attention to shaving – when the beard grows, they either shave it off immediately or sometimes go for long periods without shaving, purely based on their mood. In fact, shaving does affect men’s life expectancy, especially at these specific times when shaving should be avoided to possibly lead to a longer life.
Shave before washing your face. Beards grow quickly; sometimes, after a night’s growth, there will be many stubbles the next morning that people tend to shave off before washing their faces in the morning. Shaving before washing the face leads to the cleaned stubbles being washed off later during face washing, but it has a significant impact on the hair follicles in the beard area. Shaving weakens the follicles, and using facial cleansers and other cleaning products during face washing can severely irritate the follicles, possibly causing inflammation. It is not good for the body in the long run; hence, it is advisable for male friends to clean their beards after washing their faces.
Shave while showering. Some men find it inconvenient and tend to do all the cleaning during showering. Indeed, warm water showering makes shaving easier, especially using manual razors for thorough beard cleaning. However, shower water temperatures are generally high, allowing dirt in the air to enter the hair follicles, potentially causing infection and inflammation.
Shave before exercising. Nowadays, some men are beginning to pay more attention to their physical health by going to the gym for exercise. To look fresh and energetic at the gym, they usually shave before exercising to feel more refreshed. Although the idea is good, sweating during exercise can lead to sweat infecting the hair follicles in the beard area, potentially causing redness and swelling of the skin. Therefore, it is best to avoid shaving before exercising.
When is the best time to shave for better results? Male friends are suggested to shave after washing their faces or during midday, as it not only effectively cleans stubbles but also protects the skin in the beard area.
