Speak candidly: If a man’s body shows these 5 abnormalities, beware of epididymitis.

Must read

It is understood that orchitis is a very common disease in clinical practice. Generally, when the body is infected by bacteria or viruses, it may cause inflammation in the testicular area. The testicles themselves rarely get bacterial infections; the testicular area has abundant lymphatic fluid, blood, etc., which have strong resistance to bacterial infection. However, inflammation in the adjacent epididymis may also lead to testicular inflammation. Therefore, after orchitis is discovered, immediate treatment measures should be taken to control local bacterial infection to prevent severe orchitis. Especially for men over 40, greater caution is needed. So, what symptoms might indicate the presence of orchitis?

1. High Fever

For men over 40, if they experience a sudden onset of fever, it is necessary to be cautious about inflammation in the testicular area. When the testicles are affected by bacteria or germs, it can lead to local inflammation. When inflammation occurs in the body, it usually disrupts the body’s temperature regulation center, and the patient may experience persistent high fever. Once this signal is noted, a prompt physical examination should be conducted to determine if it is caused by orchitis. If the fever is caused by inflammation in the testicular area, immediate treatment is required.

2. Chills

When orchitis is approaching, the body may exhibit some unusual symptoms. For men over 40, if they are always feeling chilly and cold, it could be a sign of orchitis. Due to the influence of inflammation, patients may experience chills and often feel very cold. If this condition exists, inflammation in the testicular area should be monitored, and timely treatment should be sought to prevent worsening of the inflammation.

3. Swollen Scrotal Skin

Usually, one of the most obvious symptoms for men with orchitis is swollen scrotal skin. Swelling of the scrotal skin is related to bacterial and viral infections. At this time, the skin surface in the local area may show abnormal symptoms, and sometimes fluid accumulation may be noticed in the scrotum. If swollen scrotal skin is observed, careful attention should be paid, and a detailed examination should be carried out to determine the type of disease. If the adverse symptoms are caused by orchitis, immediate treatment is necessary.

4. Testicular Pain

After orchitis occurs, one of the most obvious symptoms is testicular pain. During the period of testicular pain, there may be radiating pain in the thigh root and inguinal region, signaling inflammation in the testicular area. Therefore, if significant pain is noticed in the testicular area, it should be taken seriously as it could be a sign of orchitis. Timely treatment is necessary to prevent worsening of testicular inflammation and the onset of significant pain.

5. Enlarged Lymph Nodes

One of the most obvious symptoms for patients with orchitis is enlarged lymph nodes. When the body is inflamed, lymphocytes need to perform their immune function, making superficial lymph nodes easily and noticeably enlarged. If superficial lymph nodes are found to be enlarged and there are certain abnormal symptoms in the testicles, such as swelling and tenderness, caution should be taken as orchitis may be approaching. In such cases, appropriate treatment should be administered to control the local inflammation and prevent orchitis from posing a threat to health.
