What symptoms will occur if there are problems with the uterus?

Must read

The uterus, as a unique and precious internal reproductive organ in females, its importance goes without saying. However, what is worrying is that many young people are neglecting it today. So, how should we pay attention to and protect the health of the uterus?

What is the uterus?

First, let’s delve into what the uterus is. It is located in the center of the female pelvic cavity, shaped like an inverted pear, consisting of the body and the cervix. The upper part of the body is wider, with its protruding point known as the fundus. On both sides of the fundus are the cornua, which are connected to the fallopian tubes. As it extends downwards, the body gradually transitions into the narrow cervix, forming a cavity with a capacity of only 5 milliliters in the middle, which is the cradle for nurturing new life.

What behaviors harm the uterus?

1. Neglecting personal hygiene: Failure to regularly clean the lower body may lead to bacterial or viral infections, allowing pathogens to enter the uterus and cause damage.

2. Smoking and drinking alcohol: Due to the strong irritants in tobacco and alcohol, prolonged heavy smoking and drinking may stimulate the uterus with harmful substances, leading to endometrial damage.

3. Unhygienic sexual activities: Having multiple sexual partners without protective measures, engaging in intercourse during menstruation, etc., may expose the uterus to pathogenic microbes, causing uterine damage.

4. Frequent abortions: Not using protection, resorting to abortion pills and curettage frequently after unintended pregnancies may result in uterine damage.

5. Neglecting warmth: Many women have a cold constitution, often consuming raw and cold foods without adequate warmth, making them susceptible to uterine coldness.

6. Neglecting prenatal and antenatal checks: Mothers-to-be should pay attention to prenatal examinations to promptly detect and address any issues.

7. Prolonged sitting: Prolonged sitting hampers normal blood circulation to the uterus and ovaries.

What are the signs of uterine problems?

1. Menstrual irregularities: Dark-colored blood with clots, heavy or scanty menstruation.

2. Abnormal vaginal discharge: Increased yellowish discharge, with occurrences of blood streaks, pus, peculiar odors, etc.

3. Itching in the intimate area.

4. Aching in the lower back and abdomen.

5. Difficulty in urination.

How to care for our uterus?

1. Balanced diet: Consume more protein-rich foods and those with high vitamin content, such as grains and warm fruits.

2. Moderate exercise: Engage in about an hour of moderate exercise to enhance uterine blood circulation.

3. Moderate sexual activities: Avoid intercourse during menstruation to reduce infection risks and limit frequency of intercourse.

4. Regular sleep patterns: Ensure sufficient sleep, try to sleep early to allow the uterus to rest adequately.

5. Regular check-ups: It is recommended to undergo annual gynecological examinations, including examinations of the uterus, ovaries, and other areas, to prevent uterine diseases.
