High blood sugar needs attention: Eat less in the morning, do more in the evening, and control blood sugar steadily

Must read

Blood sugar is the content of glucose in the blood. The human body can maintain a balance of glucose sources and pathways in the blood through the regulation of hormones and nerves, keeping blood sugar at a normal level.

If factors disrupt the balance between glucose sources and pathways, such as genetic factors, environmental factors, irrational lifestyle and dietary habits, obesity, etc., it can lead to an increase in blood glucose levels beyond the normal range, resulting in high blood sugar.

Long-term elevated blood sugar can cause many harms to the body, leading to the occurrence of various acute and chronic complications, affecting the organs and tissues of the body. Therefore, controlling high blood sugar is imperative.

High blood sugar precautions: Eat less of three things in the morning.
1. Steamed buns and pickles
Many middle-aged and elderly people like to eat steamed buns and pickles for breakfast. Pickles are high-salt foods that high blood sugar patients are advised not to eat more of. Long-term consumption of pickles can further elevate blood sugar levels and lead to blood sugar imbalance. In addition, pickled foods can induce other diseases, even cancer, because they contain a large amount of nitrite.

2. White congee
If diagnosed with high blood sugar or diabetes, it is advisable to drink less white congee in the morning. White congee, after being stewed, becomes very soft and easily absorbed by the body, directly converting into blood sugar and leading to further elevation of blood sugar levels, which is not good for controlling blood sugar levels. Moreover, the blood sugar of diabetes patients is relatively high in the morning, and drinking white congee for breakfast exacerbates blood sugar instability.

3. Fried dough sticks
Avoid eating high-fat and high-oil foods like fried dough sticks, oil cakes, and fried cakes for breakfast, as these foods can worsen the condition of diabetic patients. Fried foods are not only high in calories but also lead to obesity and increase the burden on the pancreas, further exacerbating insulin resistance. Long-term intake of these foods can also trigger conditions like coronary heart disease, increase the risk of atherosclerosis and blood clot formation.

In the evening, do three things to stabilize blood sugar control.
1. Moderate exercise
Engage in appropriate physical exercise every evening after dinner. This can not only promote digestion and absorption of food but also prevent obesity, improve metabolism, and be beneficial for maintaining stable blood sugar levels.

2. Maintain a good mood
Having a good mood every day can promote the secretion of insulin in the body, enhance pancreatic function, and help control blood sugar levels. Therefore, especially for diabetes patients, it is essential to release psychological stress in time and maintain a good attitude daily.

3. Ensure adequate sleep
Ensuring adequate sleep every day can enhance the body’s resistance, increase cell activity, and reduce the incidence of diseases. Adequate sleep can also enhance the activity of insulin in the body, reduce the burden on the pancreas, prevent further elevation of blood sugar, which is very helpful for diabetic patients in controlling blood sugar.

Once diagnosed with diabetes, strict dietary arrangements and lifestyle adjustments should be made. Poor blood sugar control in the short term may not lead to major diseases. However, long-term high blood sugar can bring about many dangerous complications, some of which may even endanger life. Don’t wait until dangerous complications arise to regret not strict demands on blood sugar management from the beginning.
