A couple of days ago, our organization held a health check for all employees. Thinking that I am still young, at not quite 30 years old, which is the most beautiful age in life, I assumed I would be particularly healthy.
Who would have thought that when I received the examination report, I was truly dumbfounded. While there were no major issues, there were plenty of minor ones, especially concerning blood lipids.
I may be of a fairly balanced figure, so how could I have high blood lipids? In my impression, those with a more overweight body type are more likely to have blood-related issues, such as: hypertension, hyperlipidemia, etc.
How should I put it? As they say, each profession has its own jargon. For outsiders, there are indeed some misconceptions about health; while obesity certainly affects health, being excessively skinny is not necessarily very healthy either.
Some people also say that most health hazards come from diet. Perhaps because of the current high living standards, many people are unrestrained in their eating habits, which leads to problems.
Next, I will share some foods that are suitable for friends with high blood lipids. As long as the problem is not too serious, following medical advice and adding appropriate dietary habits will not pose a significant threat to health.
These foods are more suitable for those with high blood lipids
1. Apples
Among all fruits, “apples” are highly recommended, not only because they are nutritious but also because they are reasonably priced. As one of the affordable fruits, the prices during the apple harvest season each year are truly astonishingly low.
The dietary fiber and vitamin C content in apples are both very high, and these two nutrients help alleviate elevated blood lipid levels. In other words: if you are worried about continuously rising blood lipids, just keep eating apples, two a day is enough.
2. Fish
Many friends who have issues with blood lipids insist on taking “fish oil,” aiming to alleviate and suppress the elevation of blood lipids through the nutrients found in fish oil. But in fact, one can also directly choose fish that contain omega-3 fatty acids, with salmon being the top recommendation.
Research has shown that omega-3 is particularly magical and can lower cholesterol, triglycerides, and other substances. For friends with high blood lipids, fish is truly a good choice, as it fills the stomach while also protecting health.
3. Soy Products
Soybeans contain components like soy protein and saponins, which can also lower cholesterol, making them particularly suitable for maintaining health. Most importantly, many foods can be processed using soy as a raw material. From breakfast to dinner, it can satisfy needs, making it more convenient.
Besides soy products, foods like yam and corn also have similar effects. Especially corn, which can be used as a staple food, allowing for greater intake of mineral components.
4. Cucumbers
Cucumbers serve dual purposes, acting both as a vegetable and a fruit, making them a good item. As one of the common vegetables in the kitchen, they can be used in cold dishes, stir-fried, or in salads. Cucumbers have a crisp and slightly sweet taste that is especially refreshing.
The green pigments and dietary fiber in cucumbers can promote digestion; the malic acid content is beneficial for lowering blood lipids and blood sugar. In short, eating more cucumbers is great for the body and can also help with weight loss.
In conclusion: the issue of blood lipids should be taken seriously. If severe, medication may need to be considered; if the condition is milder, then dietary therapy should be chosen, adjusting the body’s internal health index through improved eating habits.
