【Abstract】
The mental health of adolescents is an important part of the construction of a healthy China. With the rapid development of China’s economy and society, the incidence of mental and behavioral problems among adolescents and the prevalence of mental disorders have gradually increased, becoming an important public health issue affecting the future of the country and the nation. The “China National Mental Health Development Report (2019-2020)” shows that in 2020, the detection rate of depression risk among Chinese adolescents was 24.6%, with a detection rate of severe depression risk at 7.4%. Depression has become a major threat to the healthy growth of adolescents. The diagnosis and treatment of adolescent depression still faces challenges such as insufficient attention to students’ mental health issues from society, schools, and families, as well as the lack of capability for early detection, early diagnosis, and early intervention. Effective holistic solutions urgently need to be explored.
