Depression is a mental disorder characterized by significant and persistent low mood, loss of interest, and lack of energy, often associated with genetic, neurobiochemical, and psychosocial factors. It is currently a common mental health issue. However, there are certain biases surrounding depression. Some people believe that individuals with depression are weak, indecisive, not strong enough emotionally, or are simply making excuses for their inadequacies.
