Hua Yixinchen × 2024 Hubei Tianmen City Primary and Secondary School Psychological Counselor Skills Enhancement Training

The training to enhance the capabilities of primary and secondary school counselors in Tianmen City, Hubei Province in 2024 opened at the auditorium of Tianmen Experimental Primary School on July 8.

This event is jointly organized by Huayi Xincheng, Tianmen Teacher Further Education School, and Tianmen Institute of Education Sciences.

Opening Ceremony

Prior to the formal start of the training, an opening ceremony was held with the participation of Zhang Bitao, Director of the Tianmen City Mental Health Education Guidance Center, and Zhang Daze from Tianmen Teacher Further Education School.

The opening ceremony also included an expert team consisting of Associate Professor Zhao Jingyang from Huazhong Agricultural University, Associate Professor Zheng Yu from Wuhan Vocational College of Electric Power, and 160 counselors participating in the training.

During the opening ceremony, Guo Jiannan, project leader of Chongqing Huayi Xincheng, introduced the detailed arrangements and guidelines for this training.

After the opening ceremony, the two-day training session officially began.

Training Session

Associate Professor Zhao Jingyang from Huazhong Agricultural University lectured on topics such as “Human Trauma Response Development Model,” “Mental Health Model: Self-Role Platform,” “Characteristics and Strategies for Minors’ Self-Harm,” and “How Teachers Become Significant Figures to Students,” engaging participants in critical thinking and active participation.

Through specific and vivid examples, participants were guided to analyze real cases based on their knowledge and were involved in on-site demonstrations to enhance their practical skills.

Another expert in this training, Associate Professor Zheng Yu, conducted a session on “Effective Communication in Psychological Crisis Response,” providing lively demonstrations and interactive discussions to help participants understand concepts and coping methods related to psychological crises. With abundant real-life examples, participants were encouraged to contemplate. By using simple and practical methods, students were aided in quickly acquiring skills to achieve crisis intervention goals.

Although the two-day training was brief, the experts provided valuable insights and the participants were highly spirited.

During the training, many teachers actively participated, engaged in on-site demonstrations and role-playing, displaying high enthusiasm for learning.

Words of wisdom were shared frequently during speeches, and applause resounded during performances. Sparks of wisdom were occasionally ignited, leading to lively discussions and profound reflections among participants.

This training conference ended satisfactorily with the participants eager for more.
