“I am in pain, life has no meaning,” is a common statement among depression patients, conveying negative emotions. Individuals who are enthusiastic about life, positive, and free from illness, strive daily for their work and life, remain optimistic.

However, after the onset of depression, the prominent and enduring change is a low mood, with mild conditions showing reduced interest, feeling low all day long. As the disease progresses, time seems to drag on, leading to feelings of pessimism and despair, and in severe cases, suicidal thoughts and behaviors may arise, along with lowered self-evaluation and feelings of uselessness and helplessness, all stemming from emotional changes.
