The issuance of these two policy documents not only reflects the high level of attention given by the local governments to student mental health issues but also signifies that student mental health work has entered a new phase of comprehensive strengthening and improvement in the new era.

Guizhou Province’s implementation plan is carried out over a three-year period and covers various aspects such as curriculum system construction, teacher team development, psychological health education activities, and crisis intervention mechanisms. This plan provides comprehensive and systematic guarantees for students’ mental health.

On the other hand, Kunming City’s measures focus more on the specific implementation and localization of policies. By strengthening leadership mechanisms, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of curriculum activities, strengthening family education services, and implementing grading assessment pilot programs, these measures ensure that student psychological health work can achieve tangible results.

Notably, the policies of the two regions exhibit a high degree of innovation and complementarity in safeguarding student mental health.
