Eight-month-old babies may have tonsillitis for various reasons. Non-specific inflammatory reactions caused by EB virus or adenovirus infections also lead to swollen and congested tonsils, possibly with the formation of pus plugs, requiring antiviral treatment such as acyclovir tablets. In daily care, parents should ensure their baby stays warm, eat a light diet, encourage drinking water to promote metabolism.
