Is the baby’s sleep tea pillow okay?

Must read

Drinking tea is a daily habit for many people, especially loved by middle-aged and elderly individuals who are well aware of the benefits of tea and choose suitable tea based on the season and their own constitution. In fact, the uses of tea are quite extensive, such as making tea pillows, which not only help promote metabolism and alleviate fatigue but also brighten the eyes and refresh the mind. But is it appropriate for infants and young children to use tea pillows?

Tea pillows, with their unique botanical ingredients and pillow design, can have a positive impact on the skin receptors and nerves in the neck area, regulate blood vessels and nerve function, improve local blood circulation, relax muscles, regulate body balance, effectively alleviate fatigue, and enhance mental state. The aroma from tea can promote quality sleep, improve sleep quality, and possibly enhance memory. However, not all babies are suitable for using tea pillows.

Considering the special characteristics of a newborn’s spine and the natural horizontal position of the head and body, it is generally not recommended to use a pillow. If necessary, a folded pure cotton towel can be temporarily used instead. Around three to four months, tea pillows can be considered for babies, but it is important to ensure that the tea has been thoroughly soaked, with a soft texture, to avoid the risk of using a pillow made from newly brewed tea that may be too firm and affect the normal development of a baby’s delicate skull.

Especially in the summer, tea pillows demonstrate their superiority: breathable and sweat-absorbing, making them very suitable. However, they need to be frequently aired to prevent bacteria growth and ensure hygiene.

As for making tea pillows at home, the steps are simple:

1. After drinking tea daily, filter out the remaining tea water, place the tea leaves on a sieve, and let them naturally air dry in a sunny and well-ventilated area to ensure they are completely dry. 2. Continuously collect the leftover tea daily to accumulate enough materials. 3. Choose your favorite fabric, sew three sides to form a pillowcase shape, then fill it with the dried tea leaves, sew up the opening, and a simple tea pillow is complete.

With these simple steps, you can have an environmentally friendly and healthy tea pillow.
