I went from 156 pounds to 143 pounds in a month, with a very simple method, just one word: hungry!

In the first half of the year in Zhengzhou, I cooked for my child, and he had his lunch at work. I was worried that he wouldn’t like the food at his workplace, so I always prepared a hearty dinner with lots of meat and fish.

Men always want to drink when they eat meat. I usually drink my own ginseng wine, eating, watching TV shows, and sometimes even giving a few comments. It would be around eight or nine in the evening by the time we finished dinner.

After cleaning up the dishes, it was time to rest in bed. Instead of going out for a run, the excess calories accumulated in the body can’t be burned off, leading to fat accumulation and inevitable weight gain.

When the weather got warmer, I started craving beer again. Buying online was convenient. The delivery guy would directly bring the beer home. I couldn’t settle for regular beer; I had to have malt beer with an alcohol content of over 12 degrees or Dennis’s homemade beer.

The power of “liquid bread” is immense, and I feel like I’m inflating like a balloon. Even my winter clothes didn’t make me appear thin. A few days ago, when I attended a classmate’s son’s wedding and wore a short-sleeved shirt, I realized that it didn’t fit anymore. After struggling, I managed to find one that could button up, but it was tight on the chest and back.

Returning to Sanmenxia last month, I realized I couldn’t continue like this. If I didn’t change, various diseases like hypertension and sleep disorders would knock on the door. I started to consciously eat less. A bowl of yellow noodle soup with an egg in the morning, some rice with sweet potatoes or garlic noodles for lunch, and maybe two boiled tender corns for dinner.

I felt really hungry around ten at night, but seeing my big belly, I clenched my teeth and resisted. I stopped drinking beer and liquor, just staring at the bottles, feeling thirsty.

I started to move whenever I had the chance. I hadn’t driven my car for half a month; wherever I went, I walked, chest out, legs moving, sweating profusely, feeling great.

Every night before bed, I weigh myself on the scale. Seeing the slight decrease in weight made me extremely happy. My body feels lighter, my mood is better, I sleep less, and my snoring has reduced.

I’ve always believed that to successfully lose weight, the calorie intake must be less than what the body needs. “Burning fat” is indeed a phenomenon; intense exercise can burn off the excess calories consumed.
