Relationship between standing and “weight loss” health

Must read

The practice of standing meditation, an ancient and mysterious method, is often associated with weight loss. However, its mystery goes far beyond mere weight reduction. From this perspective, let’s delve deeper into the true meaning of standing meditation and its profound impact on the human body.

Firstly, the question of whether standing meditation aids in weight loss is indeed subjective. For those with a slightly bulky physique, especially those who have accumulated excess fat due to unhealthy habits, standing meditation is undoubtedly a sharp tool that can precisely trim away unnecessary fat. However, for those who are already slender, of moderate weight, or even lean, standing meditation not only doesn’t help reduce weight but may actually make their bodies appear more robust due to the enhancement of Qi and blood flow.

So, what exactly is standing meditation? Perhaps it can be likened to this: Suppose I have some surplus money in hand; I would choose to deposit it into the bank. As the savings accumulate, the bank naturally pays more attention and provides special treatment to me as a valuable client. One day, as a reward for my loyalty and trust, the bank specially gifts me a designer handbag. This handbag represents the unexpected “weight loss result” that I obtained during the standing meditation process; and more joyfully, those savings deposited in the bank actually represent my investment in personal health. Here, the “bank” symbolizes my physical body, the “savings” are the continuous flow of Qi and blood. And the source of all this is gathered through standing meditation.

Standing meditation is not only a physical exercise but also a spiritual practice. It’s not just about shedding a few pounds; it’s about finding inner peace and physical strength in the chaotic world, allowing us to have more years in this limited time to experience the beauty of life and feel the internal and external health and joy.

The same garment worn at different times can exhibit vastly different appearances. The most significant change is in body shape. This is the power that standing meditation bestows upon me—it not only helps us shape a more balanced figure but, more importantly, it teaches me how to adjust my physical and mental state to achieve optimal harmony and balance.

The allure of standing meditation goes beyond these aspects. It is more like a craftsman, sculpting our bodies and souls with exquisite craftsmanship. Shaping is the true essence of standing meditation. The changes it brings to us are comprehensive and profound.

Now let’s talk about the topic of weight loss. In this era where slimness is praised as beauty, many people struggle hard to lose weight. Fruits and vegetables, representing a healthy diet, are often seen as saviors by those on a weight loss journey. But is this really the case?

The answer is negative. Instead of losing weight, consuming fruits and vegetables might have the opposite effect and lead to weight gain. This is because most fruits and vegetables are considered cooling foods that require a significant amount of energy to process once ingested. The more consumed, the more energy expended, and to maintain normal physiological functions, the body automatically converts excess energy into fat stored within the body. Consequently, it fails to achieve weight loss and instead makes the body more bloated.

Milk, which seems harmless but actually conceals mysteries, needs a warning: while milk is good, it may not be suitable for everyone. Especially for those with a cold constitution or allergies to certain components in milk, caution is advised. Because milk itself belongs to cooling foods, and modern dairy farming practices, combined with feeding cows hormones to increase yield, accentuate the cooling nature of milk. Long-term excessive consumption of such milk undoubtedly causes serious harm to our bodies.

The once-popular slogan “a glass of milk strengthens a nation” is more worrisome. In reality, excessive reliance on milk and dairy products may not actually make our bodies stronger but instead lead us into various health problems. Since everyone’s constitution and dietary habits are different, we should not blindly follow trends or believe in exaggerated promotions by certain businesses but choose a diet that suits our actual situation.
