For skinny people to gain weight, the most fundamental point is to ensure that the “calories in are greater than calories out.” Since the calories ingested by the body mainly come from staple foods (such as rice, noodles), fats, and proteins, it is necessary to start by having three proper meals.

2. Eat less but more frequently.

If only three meals are consumed, gaining weight requires eating a lot, which is undoubtedly a challenge for the skinny and empty stomach. Moreover, most skinny individuals have weak digestive functions, and eating too much in one meal often cannot be effectively absorbed, but instead increases the burden on the stomach, leading to indigestion, resulting in the opposite effect. With longer intervals between meals, calories and nutrients cannot be continuously and timely supplied, making weight gain difficult. Therefore, the number of meals per day should be changed to 5-6 meals, with main meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and moderate additional meals.
