Although in recent years there has been a strong emphasis on gender equality, with most women indeed starting to enter society and taking on certain social responsibilities, for a family, men are still the most important figures, bearing the responsibility for the family’s livelihood. As life demands become more diverse, men face increasing survival pressures, having to invest more energy and time into work, leaving little time for rest, leisure, neglecting their physical health, and often indulging in unhealthy habits. While strong physical fitness and self-regulation may help avoid problems before the age of 40, once the aging process sets in, the earlier damages may start to surface.

For women, kidneys may seem like ordinary organs for water metabolism and balance, but for men, the kidneys’ importance surpasses any other organ, as they not only determine men’s physical fitness and hormone secretion but also influence the rate of aging and marital relationships. Therefore, men often focus on kidney care, but giving up behaviors that harm the kidneys is even more crucial.

Retaining urine

Our bodies need to replenish a large amount of water every day, but only a small portion is actually absorbed, with the majority circulating through various organs and being metabolized by the kidneys, excreted in the form of urine. Typically, we should urinate around 8 times a day, but many men, due to various job natures or special circumstances, often experience difficulties in urination. Prolonged retention of metabolized water in the kidneys not only keeps the kidneys in a tense state but also leads to sedimentation, reducing kidney activity and efficiency.

Not drinking enough water

Our bodies constantly need water to participate in organ functions and internal cleansing. Water circulates through the body, dissolving metabolic waste and bacteria, eliminated through urine. However, inadequate hydration leads to a slowdown in the metabolism of toxins and bacteria, posing a risk of kidney contamination.

Preference for strong flavors

Although there is a wide variety of food choices available nowadays, people’s preferences have become more selective, sometimes leaning towards strong flavors like excessive salt and spice. However, these seasonings can negatively impact the kidneys, causing loss of kidney energy and possibly triggering various kidney inflammations.

Frequent late nights

Due to changes in work and lifestyle, staying up late has become the norm in society, especially for men who sacrifice sleep time for work, overtime, social obligations, friend gatherings, watching games, or playing games. This significantly increases the burden on the kidneys, leading to continuous high-paced kidney function, shortening the kidneys’ lifespan and weakening their vitality.

Seafood with beer

Summer is back, and seafood accompanied by beer has become a feature of night markets. While moderate seafood consumption can enhance organ activity, excessive intake combined with beer can stress the kidneys. Seafood, rich in protein and purines, when consumed with beer, enhances absorption, potentially elevating uric acid levels, irritating the kidneys, and deteriorating kidney activity.

Excessive reliance on medication

Many men excessively trust their immune system, often neglecting their health and avoiding medical examinations when sick, relying solely on quick medication for relief. However, over time, this can lead to developing medication resistance, lowering immunity, and increasing the detoxification pressure on the kidneys, subjecting them to prolonged exposure to medications and facing frequent kidney deficiencies.
