If a man does not engage with women for a long time, three characteristics will become very noticeable; there’s no mistaking it!

Must read

On the vast stage of life, everyone is a unique actor, interpreting their own mix of joy and sorrow. And when a man remains detached from the gentle gaze of the opposite sex for a long time, his life stage seems to be quietly shrouded in an imperceptible mist, gradually revealing three difficult-to-ignore features – unkempt appearance, irritable temper, and a downtrodden life. This is not just an external change but also a subtle reflection of emotional lack deep within.

1. Unkempt Appearance: Whispers of time, soliloquy of the heart

“Clothes make the man,” this phrase takes on a different meaning when applied to a man who has long avoided contact with the opposite sex. His wardrobe may be filled with clothing from days past, each item carrying memories but appearing dull due to lack of care. Crooked ties, wrinkled shirts – these subtle details silently speak of his neglect and abandonment of external image.

This unkempt appearance is not out of laziness but a soliloquy of the heart. In days without the attention of the opposite sex, he may feel that dressing up meticulously has lost its meaning. Yet, this unintentional abandonment makes him appear particularly lonely and desolate in the crowd. Just as French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said: “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” His appearance reflects the emotional desolation deep within.

2. Irritable Temper: Lonely cries, emotional outbursts

“Loneliness is the touchstone of the soul.” Men who avoid interactions with the opposite sex for a long time often harbor an unknown volcano within. This volcano may remain calm in ordinary times but erupt instantly into endless rage and irritability when touched at sensitive points. Every shout, every slamming of the door is a silent protest against loneliness and an outlet for the emotional emptiness.

However, this irritability is not his nature but a result of prolonged emotional repression. He longs to be understood, to be cared for, but often chooses the most extreme ways because he doesn’t know how to express himself. Just as the line from the film “Farewell My Concubine” goes, “It was to be a lifetime; not a year, not a month, not a day, not an hour, a lifetime.” His yearning for emotions is so persistent and pure, yet that yearning gradually distorts into the present irritability and unrest amidst the long wait.

3. Downtrodden Life: Dreams stranded, future uncertain

“Life is not just about the present’s drudgery but also about poetry and distant horizons.” Yet, for men who avoid interacting with the opposite sex for a long time, that poetic distant horizon seems out of reach, while the present drudgery shadows them. His life seems caught in an invisible web, repeating monotony and boredom day after day. Work becomes the sole refuge but also feels meaningless due to lack of passion.

His room may be cluttered, filled with books and miscellaneous items, each bearing his aspirations and fantasies for the future. However, under the heavy pressure of reality, these fantasies gradually shatter, leaving behind chaos and confusion. He doesn’t know what he wants, nor where the path to the future leads. Just as Haruki Murakami said: “Once you are dead, you are made for eternity. Death is just the starting point.” However, for him, life seems to have lost its starting point long ago, leaving only endless wandering and confusion.

Yet, these seemingly negative features form his unique life landscape. They are like a mirror, reflecting his inner loneliness and longing. Perhaps one day, he will meet that person who can light up his life, helping him rediscover enthusiasm and direction. By then, he will realize that the past unkemptness, irritability, and downtrodden nature were just paths to happiness. Because only through the baptism of storms can one truly cherish the warmth and brightness that come not easily.
