Now the incidence of cancer is increasing, patients with cancer will have their health and self-care abilities affected by cancer. With the increasing incidence of cancer, research on cancer has never stopped. According to research conducted by doctors, the cancer rate among men is higher than that of women.

For the same type of cancer, men are more likely to be affected than women. Moreover, in terms of treatment, the recovery rate for women is higher than that for men. Many people cannot understand the reasons behind this. Does cancer also favor men over women?

Doctors tell us that cancer occurrence is related to many factors. Most men’s lifestyles are not as good as women’s and they lack self-discipline, making them more susceptible to cancer. Moreover, these four types of men are more favored by cancer.

The first type is men with significant emotional fluctuations. Nowadays, societal pressure is increasing, with greater demands placed on men. In a family, men are often regarded as the breadwinners and are expected to support the family through their efforts.

However, prolonged exposure to work and life pressures can easily lead to the appearance of anxiety, irritability, and other emotions. When the nerves are constantly under tension and stress cannot be relieved, it can lead to hormonal imbalances and a decrease in organ functions, eventually leading to cancer.

The second type includes men who smoke long-term. Smoking is harmful to the body, and nicotine in cigarettes is harmful to humans. Prolonged smoking can lead to addiction, and when cigarettes burn, they release more harmful substances that not only harm the smoker but also those around them.

The first organs to be harmed by smoking are the lungs. In clinical practice, the most common cause of lung cancer is smoking. Prolonged smoking exposes the lungs to harmful substances in cigarettes, increasing the likelihood of developing lung cancer.

The third type includes men who drink alcohol long-term. It is often said that moderate drinking is good for health and can soften blood vessels. However, very few can actually drink moderately after consuming alcohol. Alcohol needs to be metabolized by the liver, and if the liver cannot metabolize it properly, it can damage liver function.

If the liver is damaged and liver cells are hurt, the body is likely to develop diseases like alcoholic liver disease and cirrhosis. Failure to control these diseases properly can increase the risk of liver cancer. Hence, men who often indulge in alcohol consumption are more prone to liver cancer.

The fourth type involves men who do not regulate their diet. In today’s society, men face immense work and life pressures and often work late into the night or indulge in late-night snacks after overtime. They may also skip proper meals, leading to stomach disorders.

When eating, they fail to maintain a healthy diet, often overeating, preferring heavy and barbecued foods, which increases the risk of digestive system diseases, particularly those affecting the intestines and stomach.

The intestines and stomach need to digest and absorb food, and improper diet and overeating can cause indigestion, burdening the intestines and stomach. Prolonged exposure to such conditions can lead to digestive diseases including cancer.

Therefore, these four types of men are more favored by cancer. If men have these habits in their daily lives, they must change them early to keep cancer away and maintain good health.
