Men have a “short lifespan,” and usually exhibit four habits. If you have one of them, it’s best to change it as soon as possible.

In this fast-developing era, many men experience a certain level of pressure in their daily lives. They often work overtime and have social engagements. As society progresses, many people hope to enjoy a longer life, but what they do not realize is that many men have habits that can negatively affect their lifespan.

1. Staying Up Late

For students and office workers, staying up late is quite common. Some students often stay up late studying, while office workers frequently work overtime. Regardless of the reason, staying up late is detrimental to health. Prolonged late nights can not only weaken the immune system but also decrease our attention, affecting work and study efficiency.

2. Neglecting Diet

For men, the kidneys are very important, as they are responsible for excretion, reproduction, and storing essence. Many men tend to drink less water, but they enjoy sweet drinks. This behavior significantly increases the likelihood of kidney diseases. Additionally, regularly consuming high-fat and high-purine foods can also cause considerable harm to the kidneys.

3. Binge Drinking

For men working outside, socializing and binge drinking are often unavoidable. Once social events arise, they tend to eat less food at the table, focusing instead on toasting and drinks. When they see their favorite foods, they often indulge, favoring rich meat dishes, thinking they are still young and a few bites won’t hurt. Unbeknownst to them, illnesses may be creeping closer. Therefore, it is better for men to drink less alcohol in their daily lives.

4. Smoking

In this high-pressure environment, many men smoke to relieve mental stress. It is well known that smoking is harmful to health. However, many men still find it difficult to quit. Long-term smoking can cause the lungs to turn black, adversely affecting lung health and severely damaging overall health. Thus, it is advisable for men to avoid smoking.

How can men extend their lifespan?

Men should distance themselves from alcohol and tobacco in their daily lives. While many find it difficult to quit suddenly, they can gradually reduce the frequency of smoking and drinking. Additionally, they should avoid staying up late; no matter how heavy the workload, they should not work too late, especially for office workers, as gaining money at the cost of health is not worth it. Moreover, dietary habits should be considered as well: drink less soda, drink more plain water, and limit the intake of spicy and stimulating foods while focusing more on fruits and vegetables.
