Regardless of gender, when the level of male hormones is high in the body, there will be significant differences compared to the average person, and trying to conceal it is impossible.

Must read

Although testosterone is called male hormone, it actually exists in both males and females, but it is more important for males, and the content in males is much higher than in females.

Both men and women need a certain amount of testosterone in their bodies, which plays an important role in maintaining bodily functions. However, as the saying goes, “too much of a good thing is a bad thing,” having excessively high levels of testosterone in the body can lead to many troubles.

High levels of testosterone in women can lead to unfavorable outcomes, as this substance promotes the development of male physical traits. If it exceeds the normal levels, women may exhibit noticeable abnormalities, such as: sudden increase in body hair density exceeding the norm for women; worsening of skin condition, excessive oiliness in the face, acne outbreaks; deepening of voice, prominent Adam’s apple; irregular menstrual cycles, prolonged absence of periods, or minimal menstrual flow; getting irritable, impulsiveness in behavior; significant weight gain, especially around the abdomen.

Elevated testosterone levels in women can masculinize them, and without timely intervention, it can have negative impacts on women’s health, making it difficult for them to conceive and affecting organs like the kidneys, resulting in hyperfunctionality.

Testosterone is the source of masculinity in men, adequate levels of it give men a masculine air and good bodily functions; if the levels are exceptionally low, men may appear more feminine. However, excessively high levels can also cause troubles for men.

In men, excessively high testosterone levels manifest predominantly as “male pattern baldness,” severe hair loss in the middle of the scalp leading to baldness, while hair in other areas remains thick. With hair follicle receptors being abundant on the scalp, elevated testosterone levels can cause their degeneration and subsequent hair loss.

Despite hair loss on the scalp, other body hair areas like beard growth and body hair density increase significantly, with rapid and dense growth much more than usual. Shaving the beard results in rapid regrowth, leg hair becomes so dense it appears as if wearing hairy leggings, and so on.

Some men may not gain weight excessively in other areas but notably have a protruding belly like a drum, indicating excess visceral fat, somewhat linked to high testosterone levels.

While some men may appear neat, others might exude an inexplicable “greasy feeling,” which is actually related to testosterone levels. If levels are too high, male skin can be affected, sebaceous glands become overly active, producing more oil, particularly on the face, making it oily and prone to acne and pimples.

The prostate gland is also not immune, being susceptible to congestion, inflammation, and hyperplasia.

Personality traits are also affected by testosterone; if levels are too high, men can become overly impulsive, irritable, resort to using force to solve problems, lack patience, and find it hard to remain calm.

Both men and women, when testosterone levels exceed the normal range, experience health issues, exhibiting many abnormal characteristics and risking deteriorating health, which necessitate timely adjustments.

For individuals with high testosterone levels, it is advisable to avoid staying up late, ensure sufficient sleep, abstain from smoking and drinking, avoid excessive fatigue, and get ample rest. Diets should not include excessively oily or spicy food, opting for lighter dishes, drinking soy milk and regular milk, consuming legumes, vegetables, and fruits. Controlling emotions and maintaining a positive mindset are beneficial in regulating testosterone levels in the body.
