Women’s gynecological diseases, how much responsibility should men take? Let’s find out

Must read

Japanese ideology is considered “progressive,” yet women rarely suffer from gynecological diseases, which may be related to five factors.

We know that Japan is a country with a very open culture towards gender. In our understanding, such openness in thinking could potentially lead to women experiencing gynecological diseases, especially inflammations. It is reported that almost every woman experiences some degree of inflammation after marriage. However, according to the World Health Organization’s data, Japan has the lowest incidence rate of gynecological diseases in the world. Conversely, in some economically backward and conservatively minded countries or regions, the incidence of gynecological diseases is higher.

Japanese ideology is considered “progressive,” yet women rarely suffer from gynecological diseases, which could be attributed to five factors.

1. Good economic conditions and low life stress

Japan is a financially developed country in Asia, where people enjoy favorable living conditions, hence, they do not have to deal with excessive life stress. Japan upholds the Bushido spirit and is a very male-dominant country. Consequently, most women do not bear excessive life pressures, leading a more relaxed lifestyle. Their main concerns revolve around how to keep themselves happy and maintain their youth.

2. Excellent medical facilities

Japan boasts a world-class medical standard coupled with a sophisticated healthcare system, providing strong support for its citizens. Any issues can be aptly addressed in a timely manner.

3. Open-mindedness

The low prevalence of gynecological diseases among Japanese women is primarily attributed to their open-mindedness and financial stability. In our country, long influenced by feudalistic thinking, many women find it hard to discuss gynecological issues openly due to societal taboos and inadequate financial means. Consequently, they often delay seeking medical help until the condition worsens significantly and starts affecting their daily lives. In contrast, Japanese women undergo regular gynecological check-ups yearly and receive free examinations related to gynecological health. They openly communicate with doctors and seek advice without hesitation. Every Japanese woman is regarded as half a gynecology expert, emphasizing self-care and maintaining hygiene habits, thus experiencing fewer gynecological concerns.

4. Female gynecological diseases entail shared responsibilities with partners

In Japan, though men are highly male-dominant, they respect women’s wishes considerably and prioritize life quality. The development of most gynecological diseases in women is closely linked to their male partners’ lifestyle habits. Particularly, wives facing domestic violence or engaging in unhealthy behaviors are more prone to gynecological issues. Therefore, when women contract gynecological diseases, their male partners bear undeniable responsibilities.

5. Good dietary habits

Japan can also be seen as a nation of “foodies,” where intricate Japanese cuisine is a focal point. Their diverse food choices are both exquisite and rich in variety. It is said that Japanese individuals consume dozens of different foods daily. The diversity in their diet better fulfills the body’s nutritional requirements, preventing imbalances in nutrients. Deficiencies in trace elements or vitamins could potentially trigger gynecological diseases.

Moreover, we often stress that indulgence or excessive desires in personal life can lead to gynecological diseases. However, excessive abstinence can also cause hormonal imbalances, resulting in gynecological issues. The principle of “extremes beget opposites” holds true in this context. Hence, an open-minded outlook does not necessarily equate to a chaotic personal life. Consequently, we must adopt a holistic approach when evaluating the concept of open-mindedness.
