Secondly, social support and social isolation can also impact mental health. If a person feels isolated in society and lacks close relationships and social support, they may be more susceptible to mental illnesses. Different social cultures and values may affect an individual’s psychological adjustment and the occurrence of diseases.
In addition to the aforementioned factors, there are other elements that can also lead to the occurrence of mental illnesses. For example, biochemical factors and neurotransmitter imbalances have been proven to be related to the onset of many mental disorders.
The causes of mental illnesses are a complex issue that involves environmental, genetic, and several other factors. These factors do not exist in isolation but are interwoven and mutually influential. Therefore, we need to understand the interactions among these factors more comprehensively and deeply in order to better prevent and treat mental illnesses.
In the future, with the development of gene editing technology, we will be able to precisely study the role of specific genes in mental disorders. At the same time, neuroscience research may provide new perspectives for uncovering the neurological mechanisms underlying mental illnesses. Additionally, with the application of big data and artificial intelligence, we may be able to more accurately identify risk factors for mental illnesses and predict disease progression through the analysis of massive data.
