The golden age of menopause for women is how old? What signs should the body show to welcome menopause?

Must read

Menopause, as a crucial life stage that every woman goes through, usually begins around forty years after puberty, accompanying the maturation of the ovaries and uterus, with female characteristics gradually becoming prominent. This physiological phenomenon will last for decades until a certain moment when it naturally bids farewell to women, marking the decline in ovarian and uterine functions and the decrease in estrogen secretion, accelerating the body’s aging process. Although many wish for menopause to come later, in reality, menopause between the ages of 45 and 55, especially around 49 years old, is considered an ideal period for health. Menopause during this age range is considered normal, while early or late menopause may pose health risks.

It is worth noting that if menopause has not occurred by the age of 55, consulting a doctor should be considered, as this may be a warning signal from the body. Prolonged high levels of estrogen may lead to gynecological diseases such as uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and breast hyperplasia, not only failing to delay aging but rather accelerating it, posing risks to health. Therefore, women should adopt a rational attitude towards menopause and follow the natural laws.

Before menopause, the body often releases a series of signals: menstrual cycles become irregular, the flow gradually decreases, and intermittent amenorrhea may occur; frequent experiences of lower back pain, possibly due to decreased estrogen leading to osteoporosis; emotional fluctuations, irritability, and sleep disturbances are also common phenomena attributed to the decrease in estrogen levels affecting hormonal balance and the nervous system.

When these changes subtly occur, it signifies the imminent arrival of the menopausal period, which does not need to be deliberately delayed, but rather focus on daily physical and mental care to ensure a smooth transition. It is recommended that after the age of 45, maintain a healthy diet, preferring light foods and soy products rich in plant estrogens. Additionally, maintaining an optimistic attitude, scheduling rest properly, engaging in moderate exercise can help alleviate the discomfort during menopause, even making one appear younger than their actual age.

In conclusion, there is no need for fear and resistance when facing menopause. Every age has its beauty, the key is maintaining the balance and harmony of bodily functions. By following the laws of nature, actively facing it, even entering the menopausal phase, one can live a youthful life.
