What to do if a three-month-old baby cries hard at night?

Must read

Because of their innocence and cuteness, young babies often become the target of amusement for adults. However, when they cry incessantly, especially three-month-old babies before falling asleep, parents can feel helpless and anxious. How to deal with this situation has become a focus of attention for parents.

One possible reason is a calcium deficiency in babies. It is usually recommended to supplement calcium for children under two and a half years of age, but calcium supplementation alone has limited effects. It is also necessary to include vitamin D3 intake, such as through cod liver oil or vitamin AD supplements, and ensure an adequate amount of outdoor sunlight exposure, at least 2 hours per day.

As for zinc supplementation, for a one and a half-year-old child, if there is no severe deficiency, zinc-rich foods can be added to the daily diet, such as seafood (fish, shrimp, seaweed), which is milder than long-term reliance on zinc supplements and avoids undue burden on the intestines. Moreover, improving lifestyle habits is also crucial: avoid overly stimulating activities before bedtime, create a suitable sleeping environment for the child, including adjusting appropriate lighting, maintaining quietness, and choosing bedding of moderate thickness.

The crying before a baby falls asleep may be related to nutritional deficiencies, such as lack of calcium or zinc, which can affect the baby’s physical health and growth. Of course, sometimes a baby’s crying may simply be a signal of hunger. Therefore, parents need to carefully observe the baby’s needs, respond promptly, and ensure they receive balanced nutrition and care.
