In the past two years, cycling has become increasingly popular. However, like any sport, only moderate and correct methods of exercise can yield the best results; otherwise, it may cause harm to the body. Recently, the orthopedic department of Hangzhou First People’s Hospital treated a patient injured while cycling.
According to reports from Hangzhou First Hospital, the patient is 38 years old and has lost 12 pounds after three months of cycling for weight loss, but she has been experiencing wrist joint pain, which worsens when holding the handlebars. Gradually, she found herself unable to open a bottle cap or turn her house key.
She unexpectedly developed this troublesome condition.
Cycling is great, but one must pay attention to proper posture.
