Dieting to lose weight, skipping breakfast? Be careful, the hungrier you get, the fatter you become! Want to reduce weight, have the right breakfast!

Must read

The phenomenon of body image anxiety among contemporary young people is very common, especially among some women, who go to great lengths to slim down, even resorting to dieting and replacing regular meals with fruits, with some even skipping breakfast.

Little do they know that skipping breakfast not only fails to assist in weight loss but also hinders the effectiveness of dieting. So, what is the connection between having breakfast and weight control?

Skipping breakfast in the morning means depriving the body of an energy source for the entire morning, leading to a lack of vitality and causing intense hunger by lunchtime, resulting in overeating during lunch. If the food is not digested promptly, it will be converted into fat stored in the body, adding unwanted body fat and not conducive to weight management.

So, how should one have a good breakfast?

1. Nutritious Breakfast

After a night of rest, the blood is thickened and bile is not secreted. Consuming a nutritious breakfast can help dilute the blood, promote bile secretion, prevent diseases like cholecystitis and gallstones, stimulate intestinal movement, aid in removing toxins, and benefit various organs in the body. Therefore, breakfast should emphasize nutritional balance with high protein, vitamins, and micronutrients such as whole grains, eggs, dairy, vegetables, and fruits.

2. Fulfilling Breakfast

People often stress the importance of having a fulfilling lunch, but it is equally essential to have a satisfying breakfast. The body’s organs and tissues need energy to function properly in the morning, and inadequate intake can lead to fatigue and symptoms like low blood sugar or headaches. For those engaged in mental work, an insufficient breakfast can slow down brain function and reduce work efficiency. Hence, a diverse breakfast should be both satisfying and varied.

3. Limit the Intake of Certain Foods in the Morning

Avoid consuming oily, high-calorie breakfast items like oil sticks, deep-fried bread, or fried chicken, as their high fat and calorie content can lead to weight gain and are detrimental to health. Snacks like potato chips or bread should also be limited, as they only provide temporary satiety and can lead to poor nutrition, causing constant hunger. Foods high in sugar, salt, or acidity like pickles should also be consumed in moderation at breakfast to prevent excessive stimulation to the stomach.

In conclusion, breakfast is crucial among the three daily meals, and time should be set aside for it even in busy schedules.

Research has shown that prolonged breakfast skipping can lead to dry and sallow skin, impacting one’s attractiveness and beauty. Therefore, for those aspiring to maintain a beautiful facial complexion and a healthy slim figure, it is vital not only to remember to have breakfast but also to have a wholesome one.
