Must read

When it comes to weight loss, sometimes diet is often more important than exercise. If your training is not great but you have good dietary control, you can still lose weight. However, if your diet control is poor, even with intense training, your weight loss results may be greatly reduced.

Today, I will summarize 8 common foods that may cause your weight loss efforts to fail. If you want to lose weight, it’s best to avoid these types of foods altogether.

Milk tea can be said to be one of the favorite beverages for urban men and women nowadays. However, whether it’s hot or cold milk tea, it contains a high amount of calories that can be described as excessive. So, if you want to lose weight and are someone who particularly enjoys milk tea, you may have to give up either milk tea or your weight loss goals.

I’m sure you’ve seen various advertisements promoting probiotics, claiming that probiotics are beneficial for digestion, detoxification, and weight loss. Some even claim to be zero fat. However, the reality is that probiotics have a high sugar content. Just a small bottle of probiotics contains up to 20g of sugar, which is equivalent to the calories of a regular meal.

It’s not just about fries or any other deep-fried foods; the calorie content in any deep-fried food is generally high. Moreover, the process of deep-frying depletes the nutritional value of the food. Therefore, it’s best to consume deep-fried foods in moderation as they are not only lacking in nutrients but also easy to cause weight gain. If there’s any advantage, it’s that deep-fried foods are indeed delicious.

Foods like butter cakes, chocolate cakes, and other pastries contain high levels of fat and calories. Additionally, compared to the past, a lot of butter used in these pastries nowadays are artificial and saturated fats, which can lead to an increase in fat accumulation in blood vessels when consumed frequently.

I believe many people enjoy eating fish balls, beef balls, and other processed foods when they have hotpot or spicy hot soup. These foods are processed and packed with astonishing levels of calories and fats, yet they lack significant nutritional value.

Previously, I used to be particularly fond of drinking beer, only beer, and never liquor. However, I later found out that the calories in two glasses of beer are equivalent to a large bowl of rice. So, I cut down on beer consumption because alcohol also tends to stimulate your appetite. It makes you eat more each time you drink, and you may even feel unsatisfied. I remember a news story where a woman from Chongqing died from overeating while drinking and eating hotpot. Moreover, alcohol reduces the burning of body fat, so if you aim to exercise and lose weight, you must refrain from alcohol.

Dried fruits or fruit preserves of any kind contain a large amount of food additives and are generally high in sugar to maintain sweetness during the processing. Just because it’s fruit, don’t assume it’s healthy. Compared to fresh fruits, dried fruits and fruit preserves have very high calories. If you want to eat fruit, it’s truly better to consume fresh fruits instead.

Although instant noodles have been debunked as not being inherently unhealthy, it can’t be denied that they fall into the category of deep-fried foods, which are high in calories. Also, foods like self-heating instant hot pot meals often have high fat content. For better weight loss results, it’s best to consume them in moderation.
