Men over 50 should adhere to “4 less, 4 more” for a healthy and long life.

Must read

Nowadays, male friends bear a lot of pressure in society and are still the backbone of the family. Because of this, many men accumulate a considerable amount of “negative energy” due to excessive stress. If not addressed in a timely manner, it may have a certain impact on the body. Especially when men reach 50, with the slowing down of metabolism and the onset of some chronic diseases due to weakened constitution, aging starts to take its toll. Therefore, in daily life, it’s important to avoid doing these few things.

After the age of 50 is a “high-risk period” for men’s lives. Implementing “four reductions and four increases” may help prolong life.

1. Drink less alcohol

It’s often said that one should drink while the opportunity lasts, but it’s better to drink less alcohol, especially for men over 50. Alcohol can easily stimulate our brain nerves, keeping them excited. Drinking on an empty stomach may directly damage the gastric mucosa and even lead to gastritis.

2. Stay up late less

Staying up late can be considered one of the health killers. For men over 50, their nerve cells are not as active as when they were younger, and additionally, body immunity may decline due to prolonged late nights, potentially damaging metabolic organs and accelerating aging.

3. Sit for long periods less

Modern work styles involve sitting and working on computers, which leads many to develop a habit of being sedentary. This not only affects the normal circulation of blood in the body but also causes accumulation of waste and toxins, leading to obesity. Moreover, if the prostate is damaged, it will not only affect kidney function but also impact male reproductive function. Therefore, regardless of how busy you are or how long you sit, it’s essential to get up and move around to help restore energy within the body.

4. Wear less tight clothing:

If you insist on wearing tight pants and do not change them for a long time, the temperature regulation ability of the scrotum will be restricted. Not only will the temperature of the testicles rise, but it will also encourage the growth of a large number of bacteria. Additionally, it can easily lead to infections and damage sperm quality.

The above four reductions are something male friends must adhere to for their health. Do not overlook the small details in life.

After turning 50, men should do these four things more, which may help delay aging and keep feeling young.

1. Drink more water

Water is the source of life. More than half of our body is made up of water. Humans cannot live without water; people should drink an appropriate amount daily to help the body’s organs metabolize better and dilute blood viscosity. It is recommended that men over 50 drink more plain water. Drink less soda; although soft drinks also contain water, they are more like food additives for flavoring. Prolonged avoidance of soda and drinking only water prevents substances that increase blood viscosity from entering the body, which can severely lead to diabetes.

2. Keep warm more

All sorts of diseases begin with wind, dampness, and cold. If attention is not paid to warmth and one blindly pursues fashion, it will allow dampness to invade the body, causing erosion of vital energy, and the body will become weak. Therefore, if you want your body to have enough vital energy and to fall sick less often, you should keep warm.

3. Soak feet more before bedtime

It is often said that our feet are like a second “heart” in our bodies because the corresponding “reflex zones” for our internal organs are located on the soles of our feet. Soaking feet before bed promotes blood circulation and stimulates these “reflex zones,” helping us relieve stress and improve sleep quality.

4. Pay more attention to preventing cardiovascular diseases

Cardiovascular diseases have always been a significant threat to the health of middle-aged men. Many sudden deaths involve middle-aged individuals, often due to sudden illnesses, overwork, etc., the majority of which are caused by cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, middle-aged men need to protect their cardiovascular health. Annual health check-ups must be scheduled.
