Director Yuan Ding: If you don’t want a cerebral hemorrhage due to high blood pressure, it’s best to stay away from these two types of food, even if you crave them!
Hello everyone! I am Director Yuan Ding from the Cardiovascular Department of the Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Guangdong Province. I am your medical friend, currently holding regular consultations at the Hongyun Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic in Guangzhou.
One of the important causes of cerebral hemorrhage is high blood pressure. High blood pressure can cause changes in the arteries inside the brain, gradually leading to the formation of tiny arterial aneurysms under pressure. Once ruptured, it can cause a cerebral hemorrhage.
For those with high blood pressure who want to avoid a cerebral hemorrhage, try to eat less of these two things, even if you crave them!
1. High-salt foods
High-salt foods contain a large amount of sodium ions, which can cause the body to retain water and sodium, thereby increasing blood pressure, and in severe cases, leading to a cerebral hemorrhage.
Common high-salt foods include cured meat, pickles, dried radish, salted fish, and fermented bean curd.
2. Alcohol
After consuming large amounts of alcohol, blood vessels in the head quickly expand, causing a rapid increase in blood pressure, thus increasing the risk of a cerebral hemorrhage.
Therefore, those with high blood pressure should not take their daily diet lightly, maintain stable blood pressure, and only then can the body move closer to health.
