Eating enough eggs reduces the risk of two chronic diseases

In 2023, a research team from Boston University in the United States published a study in the journal “Nutrients,” which showed that consuming ≥5 eggs per week reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes and hypertension by 28% and 32%, respectively.

If dietary fiber, fish, and whole grains are increased at the same time, the risk of type 2 diabetes can be reduced by 26% to 29%; ensuring the intake of dairy products, fruits, and vegetables can reduce the incidence of hypertension by 25% to 41%.

How should eggs be eaten?
