On May 1st this year, the first weight loss competition in Yangzhou opened, attracting 1432 residents to actively participate and becoming a highly anticipated health event in summer. After a hundred days of hard work, the competition ushered in the second physical fitness test. Let’s take a look at everyone’s weight loss results with the editor~
Starting from August 9th, participants have successively gone to designated evaluation points for identity verification and physical fitness assessment. Combining the evaluation results before and after the competition, the organizers will rank based on comprehensive scores and ultimately determine the list of winners. By the end of this month, the organizers will complete the second physical fitness test for the participants and confirm the completion time of the competition.
Participant Mr. Wang shared his weight loss experience. Since participating, his weight has decreased from around 210 catties to 180 catties, and his body fat percentage has also significantly decreased. He admitted that due to his large initial weight and following the personalized exercise plan provided by the disease control center, he was able to successfully lose weight. He expressed that being able to participate in such activities is truly fortunate, and his health has significantly improved as a result.
Since the start of the competition on May 1st, a total of 1432 residents have participated. Based on the physical fitness test data, personalized exercise prescriptions were issued to each participant, and 10 WeChat check-in groups were established based on regions. Every week, health managers will push nutrition and exercise-related health knowledge in the groups, popularize methods of calculating nutrition and exercise amounts, and provide detailed exercise guidance to the participants.
In the bustling body fat testing room, staff are orderly conducting tests for each participant, including measuring body fat percentage, weight, and waist circumference. The body fat analyzer accurately determines the body fat level of the individual by inputting their height and weight using bioelectrical impedance technology, and these data will serve as key indicators of the final assessment results.
The Health Department hopes that through this competition, participants will be provided with a scientific, healthy, and fun weight loss platform to help them achieve their health goals. This weight loss competition demonstrates Yangzhou’s firm determination and unremitting efforts in promoting a healthy lifestyle, aiming to further enhance the public’s understanding of healthy weight loss and promote a positive atmosphere of weight reduction and fat loss in society.
