In the scorching summer, it’s a good time for all the handsome guys and fairies to show off their figures. At times like these, we often hold our chubby selves hesitantly. Can we change that this year? – Of course, who doesn’t want to show off their figure? But how can we have a good figure, running a marathon under the scorching sun? Or coming off work exhausted only to pedal on a stationary bike for an hour? If that’s the case, it’s better to embrace our chubby selves with care.
In fact, friends, you can try adjusting your diet for weight loss. Balanced dietary choices and healthy habits can lead to weight loss and shaping. In other words, many overweight people have issues with their lifestyles and habits that cause them to gain weight.
Today, I’m introducing 3 homemade beverages.
The first one:
Method:
1. Place hibiscus flowers (available online) and rose petals in a tea filter, pour hot water over them to rinse off any surface dust on the dry flowers.
2. Then pour hot water again, steep for 5 minutes before drinking.
How does the Hibiscus Rose Tea help with weight loss?
In Mexico, a hospital conducted an experiment with over 40 patients with elevated cholesterol and triglyceride levels. They drank hibiscus flowers (also known as rose of Jamaica) tea consecutively for 3 months, and the data showed a 30% decrease in cholesterol and a 20% decrease in triglycerides! The substances in hibiscus flowers (citric acid and anthocyanins) promote bile secretion, accelerate metabolism, and enhance digestion, resulting in a weight loss of 1-3 kg in these patients over 3 months! Considering this weight loss effect achieved without increasing physical activity (although the original intent of the experiment was not weight loss), it’s quite satisfying. In recent years, various exotic flower teas have become popular, with many having unappealing tastes, but most people find the taste of hibiscus flower tea acceptable, so give it a try.
Furthermore, this tea is low in sugar and calories, which is beneficial for weight loss. One of the advantages of making your own beverages is the ability to control the ingredient proportions, making DIY more tailored to individual needs.
The second one:
Method:
1. Slice winter melon, ensuring to cut it properly.
2. Place cassia seeds and dried lotus leaves in a tea filter in a 1:1 ratio. If unsure about the proportions, start with a smaller amount the first time and adjust gradually.
3. Pour the prepared winter melon water over it. The water must be boiling at this point, steep for 5 minutes before drinking.
This tea aids in weight loss and promotes skin beauty because:
1. Winter melon removes heat and dryness (reducing acne and blemishes), eliminates edema, and reduces pigmentation, making it a great beauty food.
2. Lotus leaves can lower blood lipids and reduce the absorption of fats and carbohydrates, naturally aiding in weight loss.
3. Cassia seeds promote bowel movements, reducing constipation.
The combination of these three weight-loss ingredients in this tea provides both weight-loss and skin-beautifying benefits. This effect cannot be replaced by weight-loss medications (given that such medications often contain laxative components, which are not beneficial for the digestive system).
The third tea:
Method: 1. Slice cucumbers, soak them for at least half an hour to remove pesticide residues.
2. Slice half the lemon, and juice the other half.
3. Add the prepared ingredients and lemon juice to sparkling water, steep for about five minutes before drinking.
This beverage is simple and suitable for beginners in homemade tea-making to try DIY. Combining tea with sparkling water adds fun.
In the summer, to quench thirst, people love to drink various cold beverages. It’s fine to have these drinks occasionally, but regular consumption requires caution. Firstly, they are high in calories. The calories in a can of cola require a 20-minute walk or jog to burn off, which is the same as a bowl of rice. Think about it, for those of you who want to lose weight, can you afford to consume the equivalent of a bowl of rice every time you drink a can of cola? Secondly, they are high in sugar. The sugar content in a can of cola is equivalent to one-third of the can, which is surprisingly high!
Homemade tea beverages are low in sugar and calories, not only aiding in weight loss and promoting health but also adding a lot of fun through making them yourself. The key to successful weight loss lies in cultivating a new lifestyle. The DIY process itself is full of enjoyment, making it easy to stick to. Furthermore, weight loss requires a certain sense of ceremony; homemade tea beverages and weight-loss meals are easy ways to gain satisfaction during the preparation process, alleviating the physical and psychological discomfort often experienced at the beginning of weight loss.
